Lillie and Gracie are two senior
Pekinese girls that came to us when the
owner lost her home. They are
super tiny at about 4.5 and 5.5 lbs
each. They can be of the grumpy
old lady personality, but once they get
pat that they are affectionate girls.
They are both completely toothless and
have heart mummers. With their
super short noses they are doing best
with mooshie food served on a small
plate. With the degree of health
concerns the Vet is not encouraging a
surgery to have them spay. SO,
that means we are going to be super
choosy about the homes that these girls
will be going into. These girls
absolutely need to be protected from
being bred as it would likely kill them.
We are open to placing these girls
together or separately, but will be
giving preference to homes where they
can stay together. Pekinese are a
breed that needs daily coat maintenance
and protection from heat. They are
really enjoying our lovely days in the
70's, but once they begin showing any
signs of being hot, they are quickly
inside in the air conditioning.

Compassion for animals is intimately
connected with goodness of character; and it
may be confidently asserted that he who is
cruel to animals cannot be a good man.
