*******SPECIAL NOTICE******* 05/07/2013 -  WOW didn't we take a leap into summer.  I can't believe that it is May already.  Currently we have a couple of very special girls in house.  Tilly is a super sweet girl who has had some scary changes in her past.  She is super shy and now after almost a week we are beginning to see her coming around.  Casey is another girl who is going to need some very special care.  It appears that she is blind in one eye.  She is coming around but it is going slow and easy.  Both are looking for very special patient homes. We are delighted to now be a Pet Partner with Pet Smart now as well as Pet Co.  Our first PetSmart was a huge success with several placements stemming from applications at that event.  We will be at PetCo on TV Highway in Hillsboro on Saturday from 12 to 4.  Stop by and visit.   Your donations are what allows us to continue rescuing these little guys and we are working hard to extend the scope of our efforts all the time.  In today's economical environment that can be very difficult, but it is even more important.  We are totally donation funded so these continuing efforts needs your assistance.  No donation is to small and every penny will be put to the best use possible. We are a non-profit organization.  Donations, including the adoption donation, is used to partially recover the costs involved in rescuing these dogs.  These costs include but are not limited to: Shelter fees, spay/neuter, food, housing, vaccinations, de-worming, identification tattoo, and any vet exams or medical care that the dog may have required.  Many times the placement fee for a dog does not cover their vet bills, let alone food, electricity, water, bedding, cleaning products and all of the other things that these kids need.  We are a young organization with a limited donor base and no government funding, we rely on adoption fees to support our mission.  We would not have been able to save the life of these dogs without your generous donations, and the adoption donation that came from another dog that came before.

Cash or Credit Card Donation.  We now accept all major credit cards.  If you would like to make a credit card donation email christy@displacedpetsrescue.com. Please keep in mind Credit Cards and PayPal donations cost us 4% service fees.	Matching Gifts - many companies provide a matching gift program where they match your donation with company funds. .  Since we are a 501(c)(3) your donation can come to us.  If you're not sure if your employer (such as Intel) has a matching gift program, check with your human resources or personnel office.  They also will supply you with the necessary forms.
Virtual Adoption is a wonderful program that has received a great response.  Through this program we directly impact the placement fee for a particular dog.  Help your "heart dog" in finding a home that may not otherwise be able to afford adoption. Non-Cash or In-Kind Donation.  This rescue has continuous needs for various supplies, equipment and tools.  Some supplies that we always appreciate are: food, bedding, laundry soap, toys and chewies.  Our largest use items are food, bleach, paper towels and laundry soap.  Our on-line store also accepts donations of collector quality, animal-theme art or other animal-related items such as books, collectors' plates, jewelry, watches prints, etc.  In-kind gifts are tax-deductible.	Tribute Gifts are made in the memory or in honor of friends, family, pets, or special occasions.  Your gift will be listed on our WEB site and we will send a card in your name informing the recipient of your thoughtful gift.
