-June Bug-
This was
June's second visit with us and a perfect example of why we keep our
chips registered to us. Any person adopting from us is signing
a contract that they understand that our chips are locked and
remained registered to us and that, should their circumstances
change, if they find themselves unable to keep their dog it is to
come back to us. To protect that dog we have the chips locked down
to our ownership. Because of this policy we were able to
recover June when she found herself back in a shelter. The
owner we placed her with broke the contract by giving her to someone
else then that person gave her to she shelter... We were
able to recover June and she now has a wonderful home as a therapy
dog for a sweet lady going through some medical challenges.

-King-
King is a very special, special needs guy. He has had
multiple knee and back surgeries and spent a very long time on
strong medications, which contributed to behavioral and perception
issues. He has gone to a wonderful home where his gruff
surliness is understood and where he will receive nothing but the
best.

Touble is a very special little guy. He had
Legg-Calve-Perthese and required an invasive surgery to remove the
head of his femur.
Here is a link that explains more about this condition and what was
required with his surgery and recovery.http://www.petwave.com/Dogs/Health/Legg-Perthes-Disease.aspx

-Foxy-
Magical Rescue Moments.
Friday I was contacted by the granddaughter of
Foxy's owner. Grandma had passed away on Tuesday
and Teri
was
searching for a spot for Foxy to go. Grandma had
adopted Foxy from one of our local shelters 13
years ago. He was about two at that time.
Teri
contacted that shelter and was told that they would
be glad to take Foxy back, but they felt he would
have a better chance at finding a home if they
contacted me. I did not hesitate for moment to take
this little senior guy in.
When
Teri arrived with Foxy she was frazzled for sure
after the long process of getting all in place with
the death of her grandmother. She was due to fly
back to her home and children in Texas at midnight
and you could see the relief in her face to know
that Foxy was cared for.
More
blessings - not 10 minutes after Teri left our home
I got a call from someone who was looking for a
senior Pom. They had just lost their own girl a few
days ago. Where they were looking for another girl
but, they didn't hesitate when the heard Foxy's
story. It was as if it was meant to be. Foxy now has
someone to love and help him through his loss and
his new family have a beautiful boy to fill the
whole left by their girl.

-Betty Boop now Ladybug-
"One year ago today we headed north to Vernonia to pick up Ladybug. So today is her birthday. :)
She is a much different little dog! She weighs 7 pounds, up from 4-1/2. Her hair is all grown out and she goes to a groomer once a month. Her bad eye is gone and her teeth are clean. Her hind quarters had been so weak and sore that she had trouble getting up one step to come in from the patio, but now she gallops thru the house sounding like an elephant! She even briefly stands against my legs once in awhile; I still don't know what the old injury was.
She is happy, bouncy and playful.
She rarely barks at outside noise or when company comes, but she is very vocal when it comes to food, and she asks to go outside and again to come in.
It is hard to keep her face and bib clean because she sneezes so much and the face fold above her nose.
She invites Bella to play but Bella often will not or not much anyway. Sometimes they will run "fast dog" all around the furniture. They share 'stuffies' and both like to 'kill that stuffie'. Ladybug likes to go for a walk but she is finished quickly.
We love her. - Carol"

(again)-
Jackson originally came to us from an abusive situation.
We had placed him in a wonderful home, but... the senior Yorkie in
the home could not adjust to having a new kid invade her space, so
he cam back to us. Jackson now has a wonderful home with
Skylar as his buddy. I am very happy that they are close to me
so I will be able to do Jackson's grooming.

***Special Needs - Heart Issues***
Dayton is a
super sweet guy who arrived suffering from an enlarged heart that
was putting pressure on his trachea and affecting his breathing.
After the first few days on the meds he showed much improvement.
At his arrival he was 8.6 pounds and breathing was becoming
increasingly difficult for him. The day he left a 5.2 pound happy
engaging guy. The young lady who adopted him has committed
herself to rescuing special needs kids and ensuring that they get
the very best of care. Dayton will enjoy the companionship of
a 13 year old pug.

Emmett received a very special home today. He is a
Special needs boy who had a tumor removed.
Without even having biopsy results back yet Barbara fell in

wonderful first placement to kick of a wonderful 2015.
UPDATE: Emmett's biopsy was benign, no cancer YAY!!!
Awww I didn't d-stuff it. The raccoon did it all by
