Moogie -
Moogie is a boy with a history. He
arrived with us after being badly abused. He had developed some
instinctive reactions that need someone
who understands the behavior and was in
it for whatever may come. We had placed him in a home
initially that were doing well with him. He was doing great with
training and most of the domination issues, he even had him working
in the water with a surfboard. After 6 weeks they decided that
they were not willing to engage with a trainer and that they were
unwilling to continue working with him.
He is now in a great
home that is engaged and working through his issues. We are
praying that this will be Moogie's forever home whatever may come.

Willie-
Willie was through a lot in the weeks before coming to us. She
had to have her eye removed, and in the process of a dental a mass
was found. That mass had a diagnosis of malignant melanoma.
The day she was to have her first adoptive home visit she had
swelling of her jaw. Not knowing if this was a tooth abscess
or progression of her cancer our visitor decided that none of that
mattered. No matter the outcome they were going to follow
through their desire to love this girl to the end of her life.
When they left here they were headed to the vet to find out what was
going on with the swelling and manage that. We are so grateful
to homes like this one who are willing to take a hospice needs baby
and give them all they need to the end of their short lives.
Willie has know love and safety since coming to us and will thrive
as the only baby through the end of her life.

the
blanket imitator pupdate -
LOVE
this picture - the very best fur blanket imitation I have ever seen.
LOL
From his owner. Oh - for those that don't know what FOMO is
"Fear Of Missing Out".
"I've been wanting to update you on Chewie...that's what
we call him plus lots of other names including Buddy, Choo Choo,
Mister, Fluff Ball, Ping Pong, Popcorn
and most relevant FOMO ;-). He's been a dream come true.
😍.
Most days either my son Ian or partner John walks Chewie to my work
to meet me when I get off. Many of my coworkers also enjoy
meeting and greeting Chewie. He's become quite the social butterfly
with all of our out and abouts with both dogs and humans. He
is always happy to see us and is super excited when anyone gets up
in the am. We have figured out our communications and timing for
potty business and he's doing great. I also have quite the
collection of grooming entertainment though It's not his favorite
thing to do. Most of the time we are out and about, playing with
some favorite stuff toy, chasing balls and one of our favorites is
Zoom Zoom where Chewie race tracks around either inside or outside
and sometimes both :-).
I wish I had better
pics but he's constantly busy or sleeping. This one was from earlier
today that John took after a long walk in the park- passed out
asleep. Like my son said he's pure Joy! Hope all is well and keep
up the great service. Sincerely, Audra"

-Chewy-
We have made
the decision to allow Chewy to go to another of our local rescues.
One Tail at a Time (http://OTATPDX.org)
is a foster based rescue and has a home foster that is skilled with
training and is willing to take Chewy to the next level. After
being here for 7 months we feel this is a great move for him and
that they will be able to take him to his next behavioral step,
which will help him find his new forever home.
-Rolo-
Rolo is one of our Sweet Treat babies. Sugar was the momma
(listed below). We were able to recover these babies and momma
from the California Shelter system a few days after their birth.
They spent the first 6 months of their lives living and being loved
here by us until they were old enough to be altered. Such
adorable babies. I am so excited to see them leaving to their
new amazing homes.

-Anna and Bunny-
Anna and Bunny were
surrendered to us when their owner went into assisted living in
another state. Her new home is with the same amazing people
who adopted Lisa at Christmas time. Sadly 14 year old Lisa
passed just a few short weeks after her adoption. This family
wanted to remember Lisa in the best way possible. This time it
was adopting Anna 14 and Bunny 10. Praying these girls will be
with them for a long time to come.
-Momma Precious-
Momma came to us from one of our local
Oregon Shelters. She was surrendered there when her owner
found herself living in her car.
She was with us for 6 months before finding her most amazing home.
