Not a new placement, just a really cool pupdate.
"Fuzzie is about nine years old now (he was 2-3 years old when we adopted him in 2014). He is the sweetest tempered little dog and we just love him to bits. Our whole family loves him. He’s a bit spoiled too.  He was so scared when we first brought him home, but he eventually grew to trust us and now he owns the place.
He’s the best dog, as we tell him every day. ❤
Thank you for helping Fuzzie and many other dogs find their forever homes.
Merry and Andrew Bond, and Fuzzie"

- Selene -
I LOVE it when we have a very special placement.  This little man, Curtis, wanted a dog in the worst way, but he is very allergic to them.  His reactions had been so bad that we went into this knowing that it may not work.  Selene being a true American Hariless Terrier is the perfect answer.  She is so loving and sweet and Curtis has no reaction to her.  The interaction and engagement has been wonderful.  We are completely thrilled to make it possible for this young man to have the dog of his dreams.

Not a new placement, just a really cool pupdate.
"Just wanted to send a quick update on Cesar, who we adopted from you over two years ago now. We live on 5 acres in Ridgefield, Washington now and he adores the outdoors.

He is our sweet angel and I am so grateful for him!

Thank you, Molly "
I think he is a bit of a tennis ball hoarder. LOL

- Indy -
Indy, with his advanced heart concerns, no teeth and partially missing jaw, went to live with our very dear friend Adria.  He will finish his life with the best of love and care.

- Francisco -

- Bristol -
Bristol was diagnosed with cancer.  Because of his very advanced age and overall health issues he will be staying here with us through his end of life.

- Piper -
Piper came to us as a tiny little thing, extremely emaciated at 4.5 lbs. As she gained weight and her condition improved she showed us that she was a sweet and engaged little girl.  Her favorite spot is under the blankets.  She has limited hearing and vision and a mild heart murmur.  She is going to be an amazing companion in her new home.

These are her healthy images just before placement two months after her arrival with us.

These are pictures at her arrival with us.

Not a new placement, just an update from
-
Dennis the Menace -

We just thought we would check in to let you know how Dennis (we now call him “Denny”) is doing.

Over all great!  He is skiddish around noises and strangers.  But older women he seems to like the best.  He jumped up into Jackie’s mom’s lap the other day having just met her and snuggled up!  He also does not like fast movements.

We take him for walks around the lake where he loves to investigate all the new smells.

He sleeps in our bed every night.  Jackie will already be in bed and after I let him out for the last time he’ll come in and say okay!  Let’s go see Mommy!  And he will tear to the other end of the house and bound onto her lap as she is reading in bed.  He will lay with her for a while getting pets and snuggles.  Beaker is on her too.  The she will ask for me to take Denny and he will sleep with me for the rest of the night.  We have a thin blanket that we cover him with to keep him warm.

He had one accident early on when we first got him home but nothing from then on.

He gets lonely for me (Robert) when I am out for an extended period of time and happily greets me at the door.  Then he wants snuggle time in our big chair.

He has accepted our other Chinese Crested/Chihuahua mix “Beaker”.  When we throw Denny’s squeaky toy (and he now has many) Denny excitedly runs from the family room to the living room to retrieve the toy, darts back and waits for me to throw it again.  Beaker will even start barking excitedly in the fun.

All in all this is a good fit and we love our Denny!
Thank you again for facilitating this match!

Fondly,
Robert and Jackie, Denny and Beaker

With the crazy 2020 year we are still having a significant impact.  We completely stopped our California program this year because of the COVID risks working with transport.  We continue to make our impact with Washington and Oregon shelter dogs and private surrenders.

Compassion for animals is intimately connected with goodness of character; and it may be confidently asserted that he who is cruel to animals cannot be a good man.
