-Chicky-
After
having been us for 3.5 years we have made the decision
that Chicky will remain
here for the rest of her life. She has had a very
rough life before coming to us as a victim of extreme
abuse. She has some level of brain damage and is
quite unpredictable with her behaviors. We have
tried calming medications with her, but they all seem to
put her into an almost feral state. We have
learned to work with her successfully and are providing
her a calm and loving environment. We understand
her limitations and believe that transitioning into a
new home would set her back, and be a potential risk to
anyone who would adopt her; so, have have opted to adopt
her ourselves and give her the security of knowing she
will always be in our environment.

With the
crazy 2020 year we are still having a significant impact. We
completely stopped our California program this year because of the
COVID risks working with transport. We continue to make our
impact with Washington and Oregon shelter dogs and private
surrenders.

placements.
